While the informational picketing was going on, Louise Love, Columbia College Vice-President of Academic Affairs, sent out emails to all part-time faculty concerning contract negotiations with P-fac. P-Fac has stood for and will continue to work for a fair and just bargaining process. Your union stands for: A dignified and respectful work environment A fair contract Job security Recognition of your dedication and hard work Health insurance Our proposed contract is not about only a pay increase. We know that pay increases don&#8217;t matter if you are an at-will employee who can lose your job, or a course, from one semester to the next for any or no reason at all. That is what is happening now. We are working to change that by negotiating a fair contract that will offer more protection from a sudden loss of hours and loss of income.
